Passes & Vouchers - Terms & Conditions

Introduction

The use of Passes (Volunteer Staff, Retired Volunteer or Paid Staff), Car Park Passes and Travel Vouchers are subject to the Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) as shown below. Severn Valley Railway (Holdings) plc and Severn Valley Railway Ltd reserve the right to amend the T&Cs at any time by posting changes online. Continued use of the Passes and Vouchers after changes are posted constitutes the user's acceptance of these T&Cs as modified.

Volunteer Staff (and Paid Staff) Passes

1. The named Bearer is authorised to be on SVR property in connection with his/her duty and may act on the Company's behalf in matters of safety and security.

2. On production of the pass, the Bearer ONLY, may travel as a passenger free of charge in the Third Class section of any of the Company's public service trains.

3. When using the pass the Bearer may not occupy a seat when fare paying passengers are standing OR when wearing dirty clothing.

4. The pass remains the property of the Severn Valley Railway and must be returned to the VLO on request.

Retired Volunteer Passes

1. On production of the pass, the Bearer (and ONE guest if applicable), may travel as a passenger free of charge in either First or Third Class sections of any of the Company's public service trains.

2. When using the pass neither the Bearer nor Guest may occupy a seat when fare paying passengers are standing.

3. The pass remains the property of the Severn Valley Railway and must be returned to the VLO on request.

Car Park Passes

1. The pass entitles the named holder ONLY to park ONE vehicle in any SVR car park without payment.

2. Vehicles must be parked in accordance with any conditions applicable at the car park.

3. Passes must not be loaned, sold or exchanged for cash or other benefits.

4. The pass gives no rights to a car park space (eg should a car park be full).

5. The pass remains the property of the Severn Valley Railway and must be returned to the VLO on request.

Travel Vouchers (Freedom of the Line tickets)

1. Each ticket is valid for 3rd class travel for ONE person on any ONE day, up to and including the Festive Season train service in the year shown on the ticket, but see note (2) below.

2 The tickets are NOT VALID for use during the Steam or Diesel Galas, Paw Patrol Weekend, Step Back to the 1940s Weekends, Ghost Trains or on our pre-booked Christmas services.

3 The "Date of Travel" must be entered on the face of a ticket before use.

4 Valid in First Class seating ONLY on payment of the appropriate supplement.

5 The tickets may be given away but MUST NOT be sold or exchanged for cash or other benefits.

6 Issued subject to the general conditions under which the SVR operates a public service.
