Welcome to the Severn Valley Railway Volunteer Liaison Office

Contact Information

New volunteers to the Severn  Valley Railway are generally invited to Induction Days which are held, on average, at monthly intervals. They are intended to introduce new entrants to the various volunteering opportunities available to them.

Many applicants have already decided which department they wish to join and thus are invited to pop in and see the VLO team during any Tuesday or Thursday at Bewdley Station between 10 and 3(Sunday morning by arrangement) situated on Platform 1*, so that they can be fast tracked through to the department of their choice. If you fall within this category and decide to visit us, please telephone beforehand to ensure one of the team will be available to discuss your interests and answer any questions which may arise.

*Please note the Volunteer Office will remain closed for the immediate future due to present circumstances.

Finally, if future and/or present volunteers have any issues or queries reqarding the work of the VLO and/or any grievances/complaints whatsoever there are avenues open which can be followed and which, hopefully, will lead to satisfactory conculsions. Please do not revert to social media to air your concerns. This could be in contravention of our Social Media Policy; a copy of which can be downloaded or viewed on this site. We can do little about grievances aired on Facebook forums unless we are alerted to them by others; so would reiterate our request that contact is made direct with the office.

Thank you

The VLO team
